Dear Upper School Parents and Guardians,
If you wish to give your child permission to participate in tomorrow’s (3/15) Climate Strike demonstration in downtown DC, kindly submit a logistics request form through QuakerZone. While the school is not sponsoring this event, we will excuse your student(s) from classes if you give explicit permission that they may attend. A few items to note:


1. Please note that your child will attend their first through third period classes (8:00am – 10:23am) before gathering to sign-out of the Dean’s office at 10:24am;
2. Please note that your child is therefore excused absent for the remainder of the day and is not to return. You are excusing your child from school for the balance of the day; and
3. Please make sure you are aware of how your child is getting to and from the demonstration, and please establish some rules and advice for them to follow when in a large crowd.

We ask that you submit your logistics request form no later than 4pm today (Thursday, March 14). Some of you may have already done so.
