The Senate voted to overturn President Donald Trump's national emergency declaration, delivering a harsh rebuke to the president from both sides of the aisle.

In a 59-41 vote, the Senate approved a House-passed resolution to block Trump from unilaterally funding his border wall over congressional objections.

Twelve Republicans bucked Trump and voted with Democrats. Trump has vowed to veto the legislation - the first of his presidency.
