Hallie, the Carneys and Quillens are delighted to hear that Beau is feeling
better and eager to get back on the job and the campaign trail. He and all
the Bidens and Olivere's are in our thoughts and prayers. (And my mother
and father are in church every day. They have their "hot line to heaven" in

Dear Tracy,

Thank you so much for your prayers and well-wishes over the last couple of
days. As you all know by now, we made it!

Beau is better, and soon will be back up and running at full speed. He has
been incredibly strong and brave.

We were fortunate to have had extraordinary care -- amazing first
responders, excellent hospitals, and talented doctors and nurses.

Beau will remain in the hospital for a little while longer, following the
standard operating procedures. As you can imagine, he is already chomping at
the bit to get out. I think he has the kids helping him plan an escape
route.

Many of you have asked where you can send flowers and cards. They are not
necessary -- but please continue to say your prayers.
