Brooke explained at our meeting how important it is for rowers and parents to be a part of our text messaging service which will alert you to weather related cancellations, and other schedule changes. This is particularly useful very early in the morning when the rest of your household may not want to be disturbed by phones ringing! Here are some additional instructions if you have not already had a chance to log on to our messaging service. A reminder to returning rowers: your subscription to rainedout.com will expire in March and you must re-register. HINT: have your cell phone handy, as they will send you a text message with an activation code that you must enter on their website 1. Go to www.rainedout.com 2. In the text box that says, "find your organization", enter "Sidwell Crew" 3. Click on "Sidwell Crew" 4. Click "Sign Up Now for Mobile Alerts", follow the instructions to create your account - create username, enter full name, password and enter messaging method - mobile phone or e-mail, or both. (mobile phone is recommended) 5. Follow the instructions to complete the sign-up (disregard the distribution groups as the coaches will edit those later) 6. Click "create account" Good luck! Liz B.
