DC CPO 1. 27 year-old female is seeking representation for CPO against 33 year-old male. The parties dated on and off for one year, shared a residence for four months, and they have one child in common. On January 7, 2010 the Respondent came to the Petitioner’s apartment, banged on the window and accused the Petitioner of trying to get someone to harm the Respondent. The Respondent then threatened to kill the Petitioner and the Petitioner’s mother, stating that he would bust through the window while the Petitioner is sleeping. The Petitioner called the police and a report was taken. On January 11, 2010 the Petitioner walked into her apartment and opened a closet door to find the Respondent standing in the closet after the Respondent forced entry into the Petitioner’s apartment. The Respondent accused the Petitioner of lying to him and the parties argued. The Respondent spit on the Petitioner’s face in the presence of the parties’ minor child. The Petitioner demanded that the Respondent leave her apartment but as the Respondent was leaving he told the Petitioner that her car was next. The Respondent headed towards the Petitioner’s car and a third party called the police. A police report was filed for burglary and domestic violence. The Respondent was found and is currently incarcerated. Hearing Date: 2/1/10. 2. 31 year-old female is seeking representation for CPO against 24 year-old male. The parties have been married and have shared the same residence for almost two years. In July 2008 the parties were arguing and the Respondent picked up the Petitioner by her right arm and threw her to the ground in the middle of the street. The Respondent then kicked the Petitioner while she was on the ground. The police were called by a third party but it is unclear if a police report was taken. In October 2008 the parties were walking down the street when the Respondent grabbed the Petitioner by the neck with both hands and slammed the Petitioner against the sidewalk. The Petitioner then called the police, but when they arrived the Respondent was no longer at the apartment. On January 9, 2010 the Respondent confronted the Petitioner after work while the Petitioner was with a friend.
