Good morning----
Directions to the Anacostia Boathouse are attached to this email. I recommend that you print off the information and bring it along with you tomorrow. Some of the logistics were pretty confusing the last time we were there. I've also included a a link to a google map (also on Teamsnap website):

The website for the boathouse is www.anacostiaboathouse.org although their directions don't seem to be that helpful.


The directions in the attachment (borrowed from the BCC crew website) include information on drop off, parking, and directions to the viewing area for parents. We haven't rowed in this venue for three years---but my memory of that race is that directions are very handy. (The only confusing thing about these directions to me was their failure to mention that Maine Avenue becomes M Street as you travel toward the site. ) If you want to search out directions from your home, the intersection for the boathouse is 11th and O SE.


We aren't sure where/if we will set up the tent-----but it will likely be near the viewing area unless there is room at the boathouse. The rower snacks will be set up at the boathouse---so, unlike other races, parents should plan to bring their own coffee and snacks if you want them. (You may want to bring your rosters so you'll have cell phone numbers to locate the group.)


Since this regatta allows rowers to compete in more than one race, it is likely (but not definite) that we will race two boats. The race times are at 8:55 am for the I-V and 10:05 am for the 2-V. The coaches will tell the rowers what time to arrive (although the teamsnap site at this point indicates 6:45 am). The regatta should conclude by noon. The rowers will be expected to meet the trailer back at Thompson's at a time designated by the coaches to unload the trailers.
