Hope you’re doing well. I had two quick questions I was hoping you could
assist in shedding some light on.


1) With the award of the ARRA funding, will the states manage the
projects that affect Amtrak? Will Amtrak oversee their work or will the
states partner and depend on Amtrak for these projects? Which states might
try to manage it themselves or with contractors? **

2) What is the status and timeline of Amtrak selecting a Super General
Engineering Consultant for HSR? If this project is a go, will it be
contractually similar to existing Project Management Office? Are current RPM
and PMOs precluded from new projects? **
