I wanted to touch base to share with you where we are and seek your input. First, I have attached an updated brochure, reflecting a few changes since the last version I shared with you. This can be shared widely. Second, I have looked in Mary Erodes, from JPMorgan Chase...she is PERFECT...what a great recommendation. Only concern I have is that her bio states she is on the Board of the US Fund for UNICEF: http://www.jpmorgan.com/pages/jpmorgan/bios/erdoes. After reviewing the US Fund's site (http://www.unicefusa.org/about/leadership/board/), I couldnt find any reference to this post. I would think it would be some what of a conflict if she were still serving in that capacity for UNICEF. Any thoughts on how best to proceed to reach out to her (or uncover whether her bio is out of date)? Third, I plan to reach out to Gina Adams this week and will keep you posted on progress. Fourth, Meghan and I are working on Hadassah, Maria Shriver and I am working also on Penny Pritzker, Maria Eitel (Nike Foundation). We are interested in finding good candidates from fashion/retail/cosmetics/fragrance, additional women from Wall Street, defense, media/advertising/communication as well. Any leads/suggestions are welcomed! We are planning a field trip this summer for the inaugural women to central america, likely Guatemala or Nicaragua. Hope to nail dates down soon and use as enticement for cultivation. One challenge is to connect fundraising/giving with this group...would be ideal to find someone in group to make a leadership gift to set the tone, or perhaps create matching gift strategy. Curious on your recommendations on this point... Also, we are planning to ask Women's Council to host/organize a fundraiser in DC on eve of Oct 4, just prior to awarding Hillary Clinton with award. Friends of the World Food Program are hosting Global Summit on Hunger Oct 4-5 and the award will be crescendo event. Thoughts welcome! Finally, let me know if you would like to discuss further the current conditions amongst Friends' leadership. Look forward to your feedback. Happy to schedule a call if more efficient for you!
