Please note the following community service events being held in the Upper School. Try to join us; we so appreciate your efforts!


Washington Hospital Center Blood Drive
This year’s blood drive will take place on Thursday, April 22nd, from 2:00 – 5:00pm in the Kenworthy Gym. It is sponsored by MedStar Health Blood Donor Services on behalf of the Washington Hospital Center. Please take part in this important event and give the gift of life! Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome. It usually takes about 45 minutes to complete a donation. Student donors are welcome. Students must be 17 years or older and weigh more than 110 lbs. They also must fill out a parental permission form which I can send them via email. SAVE THE DATES!
On the 15th and the 22nd of May, US Community Service, in partnership with Quaker Work Camp, will garden in a SE neighborhood community garden.
SFS families will garden side by side with neighborhood families, weeding, planting, and watering individual urban garden plots.. The community garden is located near Kimball ES, a DC public school with which we partner in the Kid Power tutoring program.
