Good afternoon. I would like the Executive Committee to consider allowing me to amend our Family Leave policy. I believe the current policy that we have adopted, 6 weeks of leave at 50% salary is not a reflection of our values. I believe that after 3 years of employment it should be 6 weeks paid leave at current salary. For the next 2 years we won't have anyone who would be in a position to utilize this, except Josh, who is currently the only employee we have that can use it now. The cost difference for Josh's leave would be $7211.52 assuming he did not work for the full 6 weeks. I can't imagine that would happen but that is the worst case scenario. Today alone Josh secured 2 substantial contributions, a $25,000 contribution and a $10,000 golf sponsorship. I know we cannot pay Josh any more in salary, but being able to provide this benefit would help demonstrate that we are committed to our staff. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Many thanks for your consideration. Have a good evening!
