Got a call today from a former client of ours, Karl Storz Endoscopy. (www.karlstorzusa.org ) They make some cutting edge medical devices that allow for non- invasive surgery and tele-medical surgical procedures. They want to explore re-engaging with us for some help on international business development, etc. The reason for the call is that their CEO, Mrs. Storz (Mrs. seems to be her first name - everyone in the company calls her that), is really jazzed up about taking part in some of the reconstruction of hospitals going on in Haiti and the funds that have been dedicated to that. They'd like us to think about a potential engagement and the key people from the firm will likely be in DC in early May but potentially sooner to meet and discuss. I think this is something we could be helpful on although they may need some help with USAID and we may want to bring in a partner to help with that piece. I would think either Daniel Toledano's group or Estrella could be helpful on the medical device sales piece in Haiti and potentially elsewhere. Let's discuss. Eric D.
