Gentlemen – Spoke with Jay Ward, Business Outreach for Sen. Wyden’s office, and Bruce Laird, Clean Tech Recruiting Officer for the State. They will both be at the meeting and prefer the 13th , but will work around our schedule. Wyden’s office is going to explore the federal incentives and Bruce will lay out the state incentives. They’re very excited and will be ready to answer any questions Ormazabal might have. Oregon is a top 10 state in green investment, top 5 in cost of doing business, and they said Ormazabal could expect something in the neighborhood of a 35% tax credit if they plan to open up renewable manufacturing. He really wanted me to stress that his customers are getting paid as opposed to some situations in other states. Let me know when the Ormazabal/Iberdrola meeting is set and I’ll reach back out and schedule something with Jay and Bruce. Thanks.
