Q&A 7:30.) *Where*: Tunis, Building 43-2 "Countdown to Zero" is a stunning documentary about the escalating global nuclear arms crisis that recently premiered at Sundance Film Festival and was shown at the TED Conference. Produced by Academy Award winner Lawrence Bender (*An Inconvenient Truth, Inglorious Basterds*) and written and directed by Lucy Walker (*Devil’s Playground, Blindsight*), "Countdown to Zero" features an array of experts and statesmen/women and makes a case for worldwide nuclear disarmament. As the film projects a startling vision, interviews with Jimmy Carter, Mikhail Gorbachev, Tony Blair, and Pervez Musharraf yield a unified message: our only option is to eradicate every last nuclear missile. Luckily for us, getting to zero is possible—step by step. Let’s jump start the change. *About Lawrence Bender* Lawrence Bender's films have received nineteen Academy Award nominations, including two for Best Picture. He has produced successful and well-known movies such as: "Good Will Hunting,” "Pulp Fiction," the Academy Award-winning “An Inconvenient Truth,” and, most recently “Inglourious Basterds.” In the making of “Countdown to Zero,” Lawrence says, “We needed to get to the people who had the power to push the button.” His metaphorical Rolodex was deployed to recruit spokespersons on the subject of nuclear arms and proliferation. Bender and the team locked in interviews with former heads of state Mikhail Gorbachev, Tony Blair, F. W. de Klerk of South Africa (a country that has totally eliminated its nuclear arsenal), Pakistan's Pervez Musharraf and former President Jimmy Carter. *About Jeff Skoll* Jeff Skoll is an executive producer of “Countdown to Zero” and founder of Participant Media, which is the unique independent production company that had partnered with Bender and Al Gore on *An Inconvenient Truth*. Founded five years ago by Jeff Skoll, Participant Media makes films that aim to affect change for the good of the world and the benefit of humanity, films that are both commercially and critically successful. Prior to founding Participant Media, Jeff was the first President of eBay and pioneered the development of the eBay Foundation.
