We recently celebrated the 1 year anniversary of this grassroots team, and realized we forgot to send Lucy a congratulations card!
That’s right, R., it was a just a little more than a year ago today that Lucy decided to run for Congress. So last March, this wonderful online community of #TeamLucy began to fuel our campaign.
And because of you, we turned that decision to run for Congress into one of the most successful grassroots campaigns in history. Lucy defied the odds and won by one percentage point when the pundits said it would be impossible. Team Lucy was there to make it happen behind the scenes, all thanks to the tireless hours we put in volunteering, and the grassroots donations we continue to make.
