Each of us, I am certain, can identify and remember with great clarity an event which changed our lives forever. Maybe our wedding or ordination. How about the birth of our child or the death of a loved one? Perhaps a tragic car accident which we survived. Today's gospel narrates the story of Jesus' transfiguration - an event atop a mountain during which Jesus revealed himself to Peter, James, and John as the glorified Lord. Probably shaken, they were enveloped in a cloud, and their lives were forever changed. And we? A Lenten question and reflection: how do we meet Jesus in the events which significantly change our lives? "They fell silent and did not at that time tell anyone what they had seen."
