Today we find ourselves at mid-month. We are immersed in the enriching season of Lent. We stand on the brink of three feasts which color or liturgical canvas: St. Patrick (lost in the shadow of the second Sunday of Lent), St. Joseph (March 19), and the Annunciation of the Lord on March 25. Let us take stock. These liturgical celebrations and the people the saints support and brace the message of Ezekiel in today's Mass: " . . . since he has turned away from all the sins that he committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die." (Ezekiel 18:21-28)
