We perhaps pray the Lord's prayer the Our Father each day. It is most likely one of the first prayers we learned as a young person. There are several significant messages contained in the prayer, but perhaps the most important is a simple one: if we want to be forgiven of our sins if we really want to be forgiven the only way for that to be accomplished is for us to forgive others, those whom we have offended. To ask for forgiveness is easy. To forgive others, well, we know the cost. "But if you do not forgive men [sic], neither will your Father forgive your transgressions."
